Feijoada - Brazilian Food

A special dish in Brazil is "FEIJOADA"!!
This word comes from beans (feijão) and it was made for slaves in middle of 19th Century. They used everything was left from their owners as vegetables, pork pieces but the worst pieces like tail, feet, ears, etc.
Nowadays, this food is a special dish in Brazil. The original "Feijoada" is made with black beans, pork pieces (tail, feet, ears, lots of kind of sausage, etc.), pork skin fried (torresmo). All is cooked several hours and used eat with rice, cooked cabbage and pieces of orange.
How you can realise, this food is very unhealthy meanly for the meat's pork. Even worse, usually before a "Feijoada" people drink "Cachaça" or "Caipirinha".
"Feijoada" is offered in the main restaurants in Brazil and used be too expensive food. Who could imagine a food made for slaves became an expensive dish?
